On writing
Writing should not sound forced. It must feel organic; the greatest talent lies in making complicated things seem simple. Drawing words naturally out of a deep well of vocabulary is fine, but searching the jungle of an internal dictionary for the elusive and obscure is simply isolationist. The point of communication is to be understood - not to be perceived as more educated than the audience.
I don’t like high horses.
